Notes... The Waihopai Valley has an uncanny proven ability to turn sunshine into gold. With single vineyard fruit from our most prized block (flanked by Pear Trees on the eastern side) - Ant Moore the legend - has crafted a ripe and tropical, yet refined and elegant Sauvignon Blanc.
Occasions... Fabulous drinking wine with a clean, crisp looking package as an accompaniment. Works for everything - from home tippling right through to gift giving or corporate style functions.
Food...Vegetarian, Salads, Cheeses, Fruit, Fish, Shellfish, Chinese, Pasta
Tosh Says...One of my favourites in recent times and I must say I think I have a bit of a liking for the way Ant Moore makes his wines. Primarily a side or 'second' brand to his more colourful main offerings, Mr Moore has certainly done well with this one. Nice bright flavours but not too overbearing like many of similar ilk. The acidity cuts nicely but yet again holds itself in check when it matters. Normally $27 a bottle, this is a an absolute steal at what it is being offered for by Big Time Wine.
