The Purpose...
Fusion Brewing began with one express purpose - to create beer varieties that make great food taste even better.
Where wines are often retrospectively matched to certain types of food, our beers are crafted from the very start to be the perfect accompaniment to a cuisine or flavour.
Other beer varieties may claim they go well with a certain type of food... but they were never created for that purpose.
That's where we, and our process, differ. Our national and international growth and awards are testament to how much Australians love Bluebottle Beer, Firefly Beer and Prime Beer.

The Process...
First we decide upon the type of food to match.
Matthew Evans (renowned chef, foodie and author) then dissects the key ingredients of the food, samples a variety of beverages and identifies what qualities in a beer that would bring the best flavour out of the food.
Brian Watson then turns this framework into a spectrum of beer recipes.
We trial these beers on hundreds of consumers (as they're eating the food we're matching) and seek their feedback. After more flavour tweaks, and around 6 months of development, the beer goes into full production.

Bluebottle awarded the top prize by Winestate magazine in October 2009 - the only 5 star Lager.
Follows Bluebottle Beer winning BRONZE at the Australian International Beer Awards whilst Firefly Beer won SILVER.
And last year Bluebottle Beer won "Best Lager" at the Australian Beer Awards 2008.
