HOW DOES IT WORK?

It is very simple - accumulate enough points to win the prize!

There are 3 major prizes on offer at any one time - MONTHLY, QUARTERLY & YEARLY!

If you are at the top of the ladder come midnight on the final day of play, you win! It really is that easy.

Every time you order anything through BIG TIME WINE, introduce someone new to BIG TIME WINE or take part in a bonus points promotion through BIG TIME WINE - you accumulate points!

The beauty of our BIG TIME WINER OF THE YEAR concept is that it isn't just about buying things. Sure you get great points for buying things but if you have enough wine or similar you can still be making points in a myriad of different ways!

There are major promotional prizes for each month, quarter & year.

Along the way - simply for being one of our BIG TIME WINERS - you will also have access to exclusive offers; deals; promotions and events that you can take advantage of if you so choose.

There will also be double points and additional promotions that enable you to grab extra points.

What does it cost me?

Nothing. Zero. Nada. Zilch. There is no entry cost and you can conceivably take out prizes without spending a cent - literally!

You see, our BIG TIME WINER OF THE YEAR concept is more about CREATING COMMUNITY and trying to have some fun along the way. It isn't a competition as such. More a rewards style program for those that choose to be involved with Big Time Wine on a regular basis.


So how do I get points?

There are and will be a heap of different ways to move up that leaderboard.

First and foremost is the fact that every time you buy something through Big Time Wine you will get a points return. $1 = 1 point.

Then you could earn additional points by having your friends join our BIG TIME WINER fun. Every time someone joins in, and they mention your name when they register, you BOTH receive bonus points!

Of course there is also the TRIPLE POINTS and DOUBLE POINTS promotions where if you buy certain products you get a stack of extra points.

Next would be if you took part in some fun sort of stuff like 'PLANKING FRED'. Simply send a photo in of FRED (our #1 selling red exclusive to Big Time Wine) planking somewhere and you get bonus points.

You'll also be able to grab additional points by attending events we hold.

That's on top of all the promotions we will be running where you get discounts, bonus deals, and offers from businesses who are friends of Big Time Wine - and don't involve wine or similar at all!

Can I lose points?

Sure can. If you invite someone into BIG TIME WINER OF THE YEAR and they then opt out, you will lose the bonus points you received when they got involved.

What if I don't use very much wine or alcohol?

Doesn't matter. As I said, this is about creating our Big Time Wine community as much as anything else.

Introduce your friends to the Big Time Winer Of The Year. Get points.

Maybe you have a business or work for someone who is quite often holding client functions or staff parties or needing gifts for Christmas, birthdays and so on? Why not put the order through for them and grab the points? Kill about 5 birds with one stone!

Maybe you'd like us to help organise a wine event in your area? We could help plan and conduct it for you. Can be as formal or informal as you wish. Any orders from the day could go in under your name.

Why not get a group of friends together and start buying through Big Time Wine. Use one name (make one up if you like) and if you win you can decide what to do with the prize as a group! What's this SCOREBOARD thing about?

Mainly it is a bit of fun, but it will also help everyone keep track of where they are going and how they are doing overall. Not much point in creating a points system if you can't see the leader board right?

Big Time Wine will regularly be updating the BIG TIME WINER OF THE YEAR LEADERBOARD so everyone can keep up with what is happening. As we get closer to each deadline prize we'll obviously be updating the leaderboard daily - maybe more depending on how close the competition is!

Does my real name go up on the leaderboard?

Good question! We would never ever put someone's full name up in lights.

When you first order through or register with Big Time Wine for our Winer Of The Year, you will receive an email with your Log In details for Winer. As part of this process you will be asked if you would like to use an alias or fun name for the leader board. You can pick one then.

However, should you not inform us of a different name you would prefer to have as your alias, we will be using first name and suburb only to differentiate between our Big Time Winers.

To be honest we're hoping people will get on board with funky, unique names and tags. It is also a great chance to form a buying group, all operate under the same name and accumulate points collectively if you so wish.

NB... If paying via Paypal whatever name is the purchasing name will be the one allocated the points!


On that, what is the best way to purchase goods?

The easiest and best way is via PAYPAL. Most people have a PAYPAL account these days.

Many other people call TOSH and have him register their Credit Card details. Then they can order via email, phone or even sms. All ordering details are available on our HOW TO ORDER page.


How often are there prizes?

We will always be running a MONTHLY, QUARTERLY & the overall YEARLY prizes.

For example. November 9, 2011 will see the kick off or the new season. We have decided to start then to allow people to get the hang of things and accumulate points over the Christmas/New Year period into 2012. Help get people 'off to a flyer' if you know what I mean!

The first MONTHLY prize will be decided December 18, 2011. Whoever is leading the points for the month of November/December, at Midnight of the 18th, will win that month's prize.

The second, QUARTERLY prize level will run from November 9 until January 31, 2012. As above, whoever is leading the Quarterly prize table at midnight on the 31st January, 2012 will be deemed the winner.

The third YEARLY level will accumulate throughout the year with the winner being the leader at midnight on the 31st of December, 2012.

Obviously the MONTHLY prize will not be as good as the QUARTERLY Prize which in turn will not be as good as the YEARLY - BIG TIME WINER OF THE YEAR prize. Or it may well be depending on what stokes your fire!

There will also be random prizes throughout the year to give everyone a chance of securing a bonus for being a part of Big Time Winer. These will include lucky draws, Big Time Wine selected achievement prizes and any other offers that may become available.
